3 Reasons why you need the bible (WORD OF GOD)

The ‘’word’’ is defined as something living creature cannot do without, because every creature has its way of speaking to each other,  there is a saying that "action speaks louder than words, but I say word travels faster than action, an adage says there is power in the tongue, and what comes out of the tongue? It is the word, and it has the power to ruin and liberate. 

Explaining it spiritually the word of God is the pilgrim staff, traveler’s map, the pilot compass, the soldier’s sword, and most importantly it is the bible.

All these are just the attribute of the word of God which is Jesus, John 1 verse 1 says, in the beginning, was the word and the word was with God, and the word was God, verse 1 of John chapter makes us understand that the word was Jesus, Colossians 1 verse 15 also says that Jesus is the invisible God, firstborn of all creation, which means Jesus is the word, all we have to do is to commune with the word, read the word, dwell on the word and live by the word. The importance of God’s word is of no end, and it is divided into three main parts which are as follows:

TRUTH: Truth means fact, reality, accuracy, and loyalty, which is one of the things the word of  God gives to us when we submit to him, john 14:6 says I am the truth, the way, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me, this verse shows that we need three keys to heaven, key of truth, guide and life, which we can only get through Jesus Christ the “word”, the number one key we need is the key of truth, you need the truth, before guidance, psalm 25:5a says, guide me In your truth and faithfulness and teach me, you need not a guide when you are going on the wrong path, you only need a guide to move on the right path, Psalm 117 verse 2 says for his mercy and loving-kindness, are great toward us and the truth and faithfulness of God endures forever. Praise the Lord, the truth of the Lord is ever abounding, it never fails, it is accurate, loyal, and faithful, all you need is to acquire the truth and for you to do that, you must accept the word Into your life as your master and controller.

LIFE: Another essence of the word of God is that it gives life, it is the most precious thing given to man, because life is something man cannot invent, and it is a thing human beings cannot do without, its origination is something man cannot prove. Man does not own his life, it is he that gives that is liable to take away, and the owner of life is GOD, John 1 verse 4 says the word was the source of life and this life brought light to mankind, we all know that a body without life is nothing, genesis 2:7 says and the Lord formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathe into is nostrils the of breathing of life and man became a living soul, no wonder John 1 verse 4 says the word was the source of life but this life does it stop there, it’s more than just ordinary life it is everlasting life, john 3:16 says for God so love the word that he gave his only begotten that whosoever believes In him shall it perish but have everlasting life.

All we need is to believe in the Son Jesus Christ, Matthew 10:39 says he that finds his life shall lose it, but he that loses his life on my account will find it, Romans 6:23 says for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ the Lord, all we need to acquire these gift is to obey his commandment, Matthew 19:17 says there is no one good but one, that is God; but if thou will enter Into life keep the commandment.

WAY: The word of God is Jesus Christ, and he is the firstborn of our God in which he has been giving authority, that at his name every knee must bow, in heaven, on earth, and below the earth, john 14:6 says I am the truth, the way, and the life, the word “I am” referring to Jesus Christ, and it is written in the book of exodus 3:14 which says, God said to mopes: I AM THAT I AM.

Jesus Christ is the way, he is the passage to God, he is our guide on earth and in heaven, he is the good shepherd, and the shepherd's work is to guide hid sheep, he is the Christian compass, the traveler’s guide, the pilgrims ‘staff. Psalm 25:9 says he leads the humble in the right way and teaches them his will, the devil himself knows the way, he knows Jesus is the right way, but he tends to lead people astray due to its craftiness, the only way you can get to the father is through Jesus, and for you to have an encounter with Jesus you need the guide because we are in a world where you need a guide to lead and the only guide that can lead you to the right path, a place of destiny is the word of God.

         

When I was discovering my purpose, I needed God to speak to me, I need a guide, I tried hearing him with my physical ear, just like how great man God hears him, I tried by sleeping, maybe he would speak to me through dreams but not, then I get to know that God speaks to man in different ways and it is of different stages, but the Bible(the word of God) is the most important way God speaks to us, so anytime I read the word of God I experience his presence and teaching.

The word shows us the truth about Jesus Christ, his truth leads us on the journey of life, and finally, it gives us the greatest gift which is eternal life.
